In the bustling city of Mumbai there were two best friends Rose and Lily. Rose would visit Lily's house every day. There would be aromas of jalebis, laddus, biriyani, chaat, namkeen, etc around the house. Lily and Rose were eager to know how grandma would cook such delicacies. But grandma would always tell "It is magic". Lily and Rose would never understand. After a few years grandma fell sick and died soon after. Lily and Rose were in 7th grade then. They decided to research about the magic grandma would talk about. After a few days Lily found grandma's cookbook. The girls were so excited and prepared Kesari Jalebi.
After they were done, they took a bite and found themselves levitating to a garden, a magical garden. There to their surprise they found a witch! The witch was plump wearing a black apron on top of her robes. She was baking a very delicious looking chocolate cake. The witch saw them and captured them. "If you want to escape you must answer these riddles". The witch said. "Fine bring it on" Rose said. They were scared but they had to answer these riddles.
The first question was-
A container without hinges, lock or a key, yet a golden treasure lies inside me.
What am I? "An egg" Lily replied. " What no one answered this question!" The witch exclaimed.
Second question-
What kind of cup doesn't hold water? "A cupcake" Rose said. The witch was furious.
Final question-
It looks green, it opens red. What you eat is red, but what you spit out is black.
"A watermelon" Lily and Rose said together.
"Well, a deal is a deal, but while going take this spice bottle with you". The witch said kindly. The girls returned home happily. "So, this is the magic grandma was talking about". Lily said softly. Lily and Rose grew up to be professional bakers. But they would never forget the adventure they both had.
